Mariachi Monumental de Mexico and The Mexican Dance Ensemble

First Church celebrates Latino Heritage month and our Renuevo worshiping community with a spectacular evening of Mariachi music.  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for this free outdoor concert.  Local vendors will have food for sale.  Perry Avenue, between Main Street and Hamilton Boulevard will be closed to traffic.  Come, enjoy a great evening of fellowship and invite your friends!

Lessons & Carols - The Word Became Flesh

Come, celebrate Christ's birth with us as we focus on the Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us.  These services will include handbells, choir, orchestra, and scripture.  Saturday evening will be a bilingual service.

From the MET to San Francisco to Beijing, Ms. Brown has sung in opera houses around the world and will make debut with Chicago Lyric Opera one month after being in Peoria.  This Indiana native will sing a varied program of spirituals, arias, and art songs that speak to your heart.

The combined voices of the Sanctuary Choir, Illinois Central College Chamber Singers, and invited guests will combine with our festival orchestra to present this 20th century masterpiece during the middle of the Lenten season.

"Sacred Sonatas" presented by Dr. John Orfe

From First Church and the heart of Illinois to Carnegie Hall, Berlin, and beyond, Dr. Orfe will present Sacred Sonatas on piano featuring works by Medtner, Liszt, Franck, and Beethoven.  You will not want to miss the virtuosic hands of Dr. Orfe at the keyboard.
