Counseling Ministry

The First United Methodist Church Counseling Ministry provides short term, Christ-centered, professional counseling free of charge so persons can find healing and turn to Christ and His resources when dealing with life's problems. The following licensed professional counselors are volunteers from our congregation who serve Christ by offering their time several days a week at varying hours.

  • Irene Kasambira, RN, MS, APNCS
  • Pat Kirby, MS LCPC
  • Jessica Gebbink, MSW, LCSW

All are members of the Association of Christian Counselors and are licensed or certified in their fields. Their extensive counseling experience is in individual, couples, family, child and adolescent, grief and loss, substance abuse, relapse prevention, relationship issues, crisis intervention, depression, anxiety, bulimia and complusive overeating. Due to resource limitations only persons related to our congregation are eligible for this ministry.

Call 272-0927 to make an appointment and leave a message on the voicemail. One of our counselors will return your call.
