Twenties & Thirties Ministry

The purpose of the Twenties & Thirties ministry at First Church is to provide young adults (married and single) with social gatherings, service projects, and spiritual growth opportunities.

Social Activities: Once-a-month there will be a social activity open to all Twenties & Thirties in the Peoria area. These activities will focus on relationship building and having fun. Activities will include such things as: Movie night at 700 Main, Capture the Flag at Bradley Park, Halo night at 700 Main, Wii night at 700 Main, concerts, etc.

Community-Building Activities: Once-a-month there will be a special service project that all Twenties & Thirties in the Peoria area will be invited to. These activities will focus on reaching the needs of the community as well relationship building and having fun together. Activities will include: Habitat for Humanity, South Side Mission, Salvation Army, Independent projects for homebound members of the church, etc.

Spiritual growth Activities: Bible studies, growth groups, and cell groups will be formed through the relationships that are being built in the aforementioned activities. These groups will focus primarily on Bible study, growing deeper in the Word of God, becoming disciples of Jesus Christ, and learning how the Word of God is relevant to our lives today. Facilitators will encourage formation of accountability partners within the small group.
