Ira Gallaway Lectureship
April 4 - 6, 2008

Our sixth annual Ira Gallaway Lectureship will be held April 4-6, 2008 with the Reverend Charles W. Anderson, Directing Pastor of the University United Methodist Church in San Antonio, Texas, as our guest lecturer and preacher. Our theme for the weekend is Finding Our Voice: Speaking of Jesus as a Community for the Community.
The Reverend Anderson will be addressing the following:  “How do we tell others about Jesus within the context of our present lifestyles and church-styles? Once we have earned the right to speak, then what do we say and how do we say it?”

Reverend Anderson presently serves as Directing Pastor of the University United Methodist Church in San Antonio.  With 6000 members and an average worship attendance of 2741, University Church is one of the largest congregations in our denomination. The congregation is currently completing an 83,000 square foot, $14.2 million Student Ministries Complex, designed to house the congregation’s youth ministries, college outreach programs, special needs academy, and praise worship services.
