Timothy Ozment

Directing Pastor

Dr. Timothy Ozment graduated from SIU Carbondale in 1987. He received his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1991, and his Doctor of Ministry from George Fox Evangelical Seminary, Portland, Oregon in 2007. He was ordained an elder in 1993, although he served churches as a student pastor from 1984 to 1987. Together, with his wife Jennie, they served at Olney Immanuel, Nobel (3 yrs.), Cahokia Park (6 yrs.), and Salem Grace (7 yrs.) before being appointed to Marion Aldersgate in August of 2007 where they completed almost 10 years of ministry.

Tim has served on the General Board of Discipleship in Nashville, as well as other numerous committees around the conference; he is currently serving on the Beulah Camp Core Staff and is the chair of the conference Congregational Development Team.

The Ozments have three children: Matthew (wife Ashley, granddaughter Emma, and grandson Caden), Christopher, and Sarah.

Adrian Garcia

Pastor of Hispanic & Outreach Ministries

Rev. Adrian Garcia graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in 1983, followed by his Postgrad in Theology from Juan Wesley Seminary, Monterrey, Mexico in 1986. After serving several appointments in Mexico, in 1992 along with his wife Lilly and three children, Melany, Victoria, and Isai. He moved to Southern Illinois to plant Jesus es el SeƱor UMC, a Hispanic church in Cobden, IL. Pastor Adrian was appointed to First Church on July 1, 2010, to reach and disciple our community and to begin a new Bilingual Worship Service. Making disciples of Jesus Christ is his passion as well as reaching out to those in downtown Peoria.

Pastor Adrian is the Chairperson for the North Central Jurisdiction Hispanic Caucus, and also serves as Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries for our conference.

He loves spending time with his family, traveling and reading a good book!

Daniel Motta

Pastor of Worship

Pastor Danny served in many capacities throughout his ministry at various churches. His gifts as a worship leader and/or youth pastor have been a great asset for more than a decade. He served as Director of Youth and Contemporary Music at Sherman UMC, as well as Associate Pastor at Edwardsville, IN UMC. He recieved in BA in Religion at Missouri Baptist University.

In 2017, He obtained his Master of Divinity Degree at Asbury Theological Seminary, while serving as Youth and Praise Minister at All Nations UMC in Nicholasville, KY. Along with his wife Karen, their three children, Josiah, Asa, and Mara, he joined our church family to serve as an Associate Pastor.

Pastor Danny also enjoys teaching Martial Arts and jam sessions.

Miguel Rios

Assistant Pastor of Hispanic Ministries

Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Rev. Rios graduated from Seminario Metodista Juan Wesley and is an ordained elder of the Iglesia Metodista de Mexico (Methodist Church of Mexico). He moved here with his family in December, 2013, to assume the position of Assistant Director of Latino Outreach.

Rev. Rios has toured churches throughout Mexico and the United States, ministering and equipping worship teams as well as providing support for youth groups.

He and his wife Rosy, have been happily married for 19 years; their children are Andrea, Miguel and Valeria.
