"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

First Church Peoria is a church in Mission, empowered through the leading of the Holy Spirit as we seek to be the hands, feet and heart of Christ to a world that desperately needs Him. The notion of "mission" goes beyond building and renovation projects (providing for physical needs) as we are intentionally seeking to develop long-term relationships that bring opportunities for witness and evangelism (providing for spiritual and emotional needs). As a body of Christ, when we renew our vows to support our church with our prayers, presence, gifts and service, we all take part in these mission trips whether we go physically or stay behind and provide financial and/or prayer support.

Participating in a Short-Term Mission project is an exciting opportunity to stretch your faith and see Christ use you in new ways. It is also a serious responsibility because by making a commitment to a team you are representing Christ, your church, and in some cases a hosting ministry. Therefore, we ask team members and leaders to sign the appropriate covenant below.
